Thematic Assessment Q2: Holidays well-spent amidst the pandemic.
Holidays well-spent amidst the pandemic
Filipinos are known as religious people and so are the Bigueños. Last Christmas the Bigueños celabrated the special holidays just like how it's always been celebrated;mass gatherings, family reunions, Christmas parties and some other activities were allowed again just like the previous years. The activities were held with protocols followed by the people. Last 2020 Christmas was boring, because the government were really strict when it comes to gatherings or physical contact activities with other people; luckily 2021 wasn't that bad so they decided to bring back what the people used to do.
Christmas was celebrated just like the previous years, the city of Vigan was filled with Christmas spirit the moment "ber-months" are around the corner. Stores started selling Christmas decorations and also decorated their stores even before "ber-months".Since carolings are allowed ,some people started early and some started just right on time.
However, Bigueños are so obedient; as they follow the rules and protocols given by the government. Christmas season was spent well. Good news is Covid cases in our province also went down . Family members from other cities went home and spent the holidays with their loved ones. I am pretty sure it was "MERRY" Christmas, because people were able to enjoy things again after being locked up for months. After so many challenges they are now free to do the things theu love ,but still need to follow the protocols for safety.
